Taste the Heart of Saint‑Émilion
Guided by Xavier Jean, owner of the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Le Couvent des Jacobins, this tasting workshop invites participants to discover the world of Saint-Émilion through its wines.
Through a carefully curated selection, participants embark on an authentic journey into terroir and heritage, where history, family savoir-faire, and craftsmanship are revealed glass by glass. The tasting is designed to be both educational and accessible, encouraging discussion and sensory exploration.
Your host - Xavier Jean
Xavier JEAN is the owner of Couvent des Jacobins, a historic Grand Cru Classé in Saint-Émilion established in 1389 by Dominican friars. Couvent des Jacobins has been in the Jean family for nearly 125 years, following its acquisition by his great-great grandfather Jean JEAN in 1902 and passed down from generation to generation. Couvent des Jacobins now covers nearly 11 hectares of classified plots, and is one of the very rare estates to have all its wine making facilities located at the center of the UNESCO-Listed village. It is certified organic farming by ECOCERT France.
