You have learnt French before but you are not sure of your level?

Our free placement test is a way for us to better understand your strengths and needs, so as to recommend the course best adapted to your current level. This is one of the many ways we will help make your language learning experience with us truly successful and enjoyable.

STEP 1: the written test

The written test is offered online, takes about 10 minutes to complete and is in 2 parts:

  • An initial self-assessment where you let us know what skills you can manage in French

  • A short written test corresponding to the skill-level outlined by your self-assessment

Once you have completed the written test, just click the button to submit your production to yourself and/or to Alliance Française de Singapour. 

STEP 2: an interview with one of our AF teachers

For the most accurate placement, this placement test will be followed by a quick interview, either over the phone or in person. The assigned teacher will recommend the class that best matches your level and timetable.
