After surviving a series of nuclear explosions that destroy Earth, four dandelion seeds—Dendelion, Baraban, Léonto and Taraxa—are propelled into the cosmos. Stranded on an unknown planet, they embark on an extraordinary journey in search of fertile soil where their species can survive, facing the elements, unfamiliar creatures and ever-changing landscapes along the way.

Dandelion’s Odyssey is a poetic and visually spellbinding animated adventure that blends science fiction, live-action imagery and 3D animation. Without a single word of dialogue, director Momoko Seto crafts a universal tale of friendship, resilience and the remarkable power of nature. Presented at the 2025 Cannes Critics’ Week, where it won the prestigious FIPRESCI Prize, the film also received the Paul Grimault Award at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. An enchanting and deeply moving cinematic experience for audiences of all ages.
