A Program Curated Specially to Bring Out the Inner Child in You

Come to a world where child-like marvel and imagination come alive with "Childhood Favourites: A Little Prince's Journey", at the MINT Museum of Toys.

There, a dazzling array of teddy bears, dolls from around the world and puppets from every era and corner of the globe awaits your discovery. As you wander through this treasure trove of memories, enjoy a mesmerizing halt in the wake of "The Little Prince."

With original illustrations projected on a big screen and a beautifully encompassing score setting the mood, the world-renown tale will be brought to life by Mathilde Bagein, an accomplished storyteller from Alliance Française de Singapour.

Mathilde's captivating narration will immerse you in the Little Prince's celestial journey, exploring themes of love, friendship, and the simple joys of life.

With MINT Museum of Toys' enchanting Childhood Favourites toy collections, The Little Prince will reflect upon his memories on asteroid B-612 with his beloved rose. This storytelling experience promises a dreamy and unforgettable experience, where the past and the present merge in a celebration of timeless stories and the enduring power of imagination.

In Level 3: Childhood Favourites, the exhibition will evoke a sense of familiarity, guiding you to rediscover your childhood memories through the classic collection of Teddy Bears from Around The World as well as document the diverse collection of Dolls From Around the World and also highlight renowned puppets which have served as the favourite entertainment for children and adults alike since the 1800s.


 

Nostalgic Sweets | 3:30pm - 4pm

Childhood snacks rekindle different memories for everyone. Some of you might remember opening up the iconic red and pink wrappers of apollo wafers and others might recall picking out a specific colour of a gem biscuit to enjoy when they are all actually topped with same-flavoured icings.

The Little Prince, originally written by French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupery is a timeless tale that touches upon childhood, imagination and the inevitability of growing up.

One-of-a Kind Experiences Await

As you enter the Childhood Favourites level, be welcomed by a friendly docent whom will be providing a guided tour about the Childhood Favourites exhibition. Through this tour, you will uncover toys and collectables such as 120-year-old Steiff Teddy Bear, a mischievously funny puppeteer named Mr Punch as well as a very special doll known to be The Smallest Doll In The World. There, you will discover her incredible story about how, having a small stature doesn't stop one from being outstanding

After the museum tour, immerse yourself into the world of The Little Prince and look out for thematic backdrops, photo & dress-up props made available for you to create memories at Childhood Favourites with your loved ones.

Be surprised to find snacks and sweets that were popular in the 80s and 90s made available for self-serve and enjoyment.

The company of childhood toys and traditional games will also add to a nostalgic ambience and remind you to slow down, take a walk down memory lane with your loved ones and spend a lovely afternoon at the museum, rekindling childhoods together.

Through this unique storytelling experience at the museum, you will go on a journey to learn of The Little Prince's adventures across planets and as a special feature of this programme, discover how The Little Prince encounters The Smallest Doll In the World and what of his reflections about his memories on asteroid B-612 after discovering Childhood Favourites.
