The story unfolds with the unexpected encounter of two women in Shanghai, separated by a century. One left Paris after a heartbreaking split, seeking solace in Shanghai, while the other had once been the belle of the "Paris of the East" before settling down in France. When the former comes across a portrait of Larissa Andersen, she's deeply moved. She feels an uncanny connection to this stateless woman who arrived in Shanghai in 1933, hoping to find answers to her own life's challenges through Larissa's story.
Both a heartfelt conversation between two women at pivotal points in their lives and a literary tribute, this touching narrative is also a beautiful ode to Shanghai.
« Au bout des mots, esquisser une silhouette, rêver à partir d'une trace, laisser le mystère d'une vie passée résonner au présent »
