The Artists :
Yeo Chee Kiong
A contemporary sculptor who examines the human sensory experiences through the construction of an extended surreal world. Exploring VR in the context of the internet age and constructing a tangible platform of digital memories allows him to search for the lost "baseline" of our collective sensory experiences amid the constant "upgrades" of our daily new normal. Through the multiple layers of ‘object making’ process both the virtual and physical 3D forms, and by entering the scene as an “object maker”, he intends to intervene in the countless “reality” one encounters on the interactive interface.
Leslie Sim
His journey from interior design and owning a carpentry workshop to becoming a full-time sculptor reflects his profound passion for art and his willingness to evolve creatively. His decision to transform his carpentry workshop into a metal fabrication gallery demonstrates his dedication to his craft and his desire to share his work with a broader audience. Specializing in aluminum as his preferred medium showcases his commitment to mastering a specific material and pushing its boundaries to create unique sculptures.
Tia Fatihah
She is an artist based in Singapore who enjoys working and experimenting with different mediums, constantly learning new techniques to apply across various disciplines. She loves creating visually striking artworks with a vibrant colour palette, often exploring the uncanny and grotesque. Her works are largely inspired by her environment, and all the mundane things happening around her. By introducing elements of uncanniness, she aims to create a stronger and lasting impression on viewers, encouraging them to pause and ponder about the subjects introduced in her works.
Chong Wen Shan
Her practice explores memory, objects, time, and space. She observes the traces that time leaves behind. Her process of (re)creating becomes a way of observing, remembering, and preserving moments. Through exploring different materials, forms, and textures, Wen Shan explores the relationship between physical spaces, emotional experiences and memories, often finding familiarity in unexpected places and reflecting on what changes, what remains, and what we carry with us
