Let's restore the plastic sandal to its rightful place in the world’s Hall of Fame of footwear! Because if no one has forgotten the ordeal our sandals put us through every summer, who amongst us knows her true story? Who looked into the extraordinary fate of this plastic gem that was invented by accident? Who remembers that she has gone through exile, hardship and even wars? Did you know that sandals once embodied the promise of a better world? It is time to take a closer look into the history of the footwear of choice in the tropics – sandals!

In line with prevailing Government safe management measures, the audience must belong to one of the categories mentioned below, and be in groups of up to 2 people:
- Fully vaccinated patrons - an individual will be considered “fully-vaccinated” two weeks after he or she has received the full regimen of vaccines and will have to present a valid proof of vaccination (TraceTogether app or vaccination cert) at our door.
- Recovered individuals within 270 days of their first positive PCR test and with a valid pre-event Testing exemption certificate.
- Unvaccinated children below 12 may be included in a group of up to 2 persons if all the children are from the same household.

Children below the age of 7 years will not be required to use TraceTogether.

Founded in 2019, Cuturi Gallery is a contemporary art gallery based in Singapore with a strong focus on emerging Singaporean talents, many of whom form the core of the gallery ’s roster. While rooted in its local context, Cuturi Gallery also actively collaborates with emerging and established artists across borders, extending its vision beyond Southeast Asia and Asia-Pacific, fostering meaningful exchanges that bridge cultural perspectives between the East and the West. This ongoing dialogue is central to the gallery ’s mission.

In 2020, the gallery launched an in-house residency programme, offering both local and international artists the opportunity to develop new work in Singapore, culminating in a solo presentation. In 2022, Cuturi Gallery began a programme of satellite exhibitions in London, with plans to establish a permanent international outpost by the end of 2026.

In March of 2026, the gallery opened a Parisian space in the heart of the PalaisRoyal, strenghtening its international position and its ambition to foster dialogue between the Asian and European artists it represents, as well as curators and transnational audiences
