“A wonderful comedy, superbly orchestrated and performed.”
ABUS DE CINÉ

In three hours, Nina will unveil her first production at the prestigious Comédie-Française. But as the final rehearsals unfold, everything begins to unravel: late arrivals, technical failures, mounting nerves and clashing egos threaten opening night. With the clock ticking, Nina must hold her company together and find solutions to an increasingly absurd succession of disasters. At this legendary theatre, one golden rule remains absolute: the performance must never be cancelled.

De la Comédie-Française is a lively backstage comedy celebrating the chaos, passion and collective spirit of theatre. Directed by Martin Darondeau and Bertrand Usclat, it stars Pauline Clément, Laurent Stocker, Julien Frison and Marina Hands, with a cast drawn entirely from the Comédie-Française troupe. Inspired by anecdotes shared by its actors, the film transforms the pressures of opening night into a fast-paced race against time. Winner of four awards at the 2026 Alpe d’Huez Comedy Film Festival, it offers an affectionate and irreverent glimpse behind the curtain of one of France’s most celebrated cultural institutions.
