SCREEN INTERNATIONAL.

Garance is a talented young actress whose vibrant personality conceals an increasingly fragile life. Between auditions, fleeting relationships and nights out in Paris, she turns to alcohol for confidence and comfort. Over eight years, what once seemed part of her social life gradually becomes a destructive dependence, threatening her work, relationships and health. As the consequences mount, Garance must recognise the hold alcohol has over her and face the difficult possibility of change.

Another Day (Garance) is an intimate drama exploring addiction, vulnerability and the uneven journey towards recovery. Written and directed by Jeanne Herry, the filmmaker behind In Safe Hands and All Your Faces, it stars Adèle Exarchopoulos, alongside Sara Giraudeau, Anne Suarez and Mathilde Roehrich. Presented in Competition at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, the film follows the rhythms of everyday life to reveal how dependence can grow beneath an outwardly energetic existence. Anchored by Exarchopoulos’s compelling performance, it offers a compassionate portrait of a woman struggling to reclaim her future.
