ART & BUBBLES | WORKSHOP & DRINK
Sculpting Movement
Thursday 11 June 07:00 PM
Classroom TBC , Alliance Française de Singapour
About the workshop
Clay is infinitely versatile, so why not push its limits and capture the illusion of movement within stillness?
In this workshop, guided by French artist D’Gers, you will explore the delicate art of bringing motion to an inherently immobile medium. Inspired by the grace and dynamism of dance, you will learn to translate gesture, balance, and rhythm into sculptural form.
You will begin by shaping the inner structure of your piece using wire: the unseen skeleton that gives your dancer its poise and presence. Then, working with clay, you will build volume and expression, refining silhouettes, textures, and flowing lines to breathe life into your creation.
🥂Sparkling touch: Enjoy a glass of champagne as you create to turn this workshop into a true sensory escape, where artistry meets indulgence.
All materials will be provided, and this 2-hour session will be conducted in English. Whether you are a beginner or an art enthusiast, this is an invitation to slow down, create, and transform stillness into movement.
Location: Alliance Française, Classroom To Be Confirmed
