About the masterclass
Nez Croisés : Parfum & Armagnac. Bridging Armagnac, olfaction, and emotion.
L’Armagnac, the oldest French eau-de-vie, has delighted connoisseurs and enthusiasts for over 700 years. Once called the “water of immortality” for its warming qualities in the 15th century, this Masterclass will guide you through its rich history, unique terroirs, and what sets it apart from other spirits.
Discover the singularity of Armagnac, learn the four main types, and explore the five most common misconceptions. Guided by a professional nez de parfumerie, Song-yi, the tasting also uses fragrance-based techniques to explore aromatic families and compositions. Through this playful and interactive approach, we will decode the similarities between fragrance and tasting, enriching your appreciation of carefully selected Armagnacs.
This 90-minute session is both educational and sensory, culminating in a guided tasting experience.

Your Host - Laurence Onfroy
Laurence Onfroy is a Lieutenant-Captain and Squadron Chief The Musketeers of Armagnac Singapore. She will lead this Masterclass and introduce you to the secret of the spirit of the gods.
Your Host - Song-yi
Song-yi is a fragrance designer offering a unique perspective on the art of scent. An ISIPCA graduate with over nine years in the fragrance industry, including five years in fragrance development, she has worked with leading global fragrance houses. Currently a Fine Fragrance Developer at Givaudan, Song-yi brings her expertise to enrich the experience and appreciation of Armagnac’s complex character.
