A NIGHT AT THE GALLERY
When art, sound, and taste collide after dusk...
Every year in May for La Nuit des Musées, museums across France open their doors late into the night, inviting the public to experience art in a different light. As dusk settles over the city, visitors wander through spaces usually closed at these hours, discovering a quieter, more intimate connection with the works.
This year, the Alliance Française brings a glimpse of this unique tradition to its Gallery. For one night, the space transforms into a living dialogue where art, music, and wine echo one another.
Step into Révolution! – A Fool’s Dialogue, where Singaporean artists revisit and reinterpret French works, weaving together echoes of the past with visions of the present. In the wake of French trailblazers, this exhibition highlights the paths Singaporean artists are carving for themselves today.
As you move through the exhibition, let yourself be guided beyond sight alone. In a fleeting, unrepeatable moment, Neill Gautier on drums and Faizal on guzheng will perform a live improvisation inspired by the artworks. Here, Western rhythms and Asian melodies will intertwine, mirroring the dialogue unfolding on the walls.
To complete this sensory journey, the sommeliers from People of Wine will craft a wine tasting experience inspired by the exhibition, each glass becoming a response to the artworks, extending their textures, contrasts, and emotions into taste.

About Neill Gautier - Drums
Neill Gautier is a performer, teacher and composer driven by a passion for spontaneous composition. The founder of Neill’s Jazz Lab, he is an award-winning drummer and instructor with over 20 years of teaching and performance experience. Through his travels, he has explored diverse styles from jazz and funk to Afro-Cuban and electronic music. In Belgium, he delved into contemporary jazz, while in Cameroon, he immersed in traditional African music. These experiences enriched his artistry, allowing him to blend influences and transcend genres.
About Faizal - Guzheng
An avid world music lover, Mohamed Faizal is Singapore’s only Malay to master the art of playing the Guzheng. He has been playing the Guzheng since he was 19 years old, getting his education from Nanyang Polytechnic. He has been performing locally and overseas interpreting music from various genres and ethnicities and he has been well received. Last year, in 2025, he was invited to speak at TEDx Global and also perform in President's Challenge Night.
About People Of Wine
People of Wine was created in 2024 by Geraldine Bablot, a French national living in Singapore since 2010. Over the years, Geraldine has celebrated artisanal wines and uncovered the stories behind the winemakers. People of Wine is her dream realized.
The mission of People of Wine is to spotlight winemakers and growers who pour heart and soul into every bottle. Each wine reflects authenticity, craft, and character. The goal: helping customers discover bottles that spark connection.
