LAST MONTHS TALKS AT ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE
For the last few months, Alliance Française organized 3 conferences in conjunction with our French Excellence programmes.
In October, we launched ARCHITECTURE, surrounding one of the founding father of modern architecture, Le Corbusier. Two conferences were organized, discussing his legacy and impact upon Singapore's urban landscape.
After ARCHITECTURE, we moved on to INTERACT, as presented for Lille Métropole 2020, World Capital of Design. A part of the exhibition, 4 designers, from Singapore and France, convene in the Alliance Française's theatre to address the challenge of Contemporary Design.

Renowned architects Rene Tan, Manuel Der Hagopian and Maria Boey convene at Alliance Française de Singapour to share about their practice and Le Corbusier's legacy within Singapore's urban landscape.

How to Plan a City on Human Scale, Sustainable and Livable? From Utopia to Reality
Join Dr Liu Thai Ker, renowned architect and urban planner, and Erwin Viray (Singapore University of Technology and Design) as they unravel Le Corbusier's philosophy of architecture and living through the lens of Singapore's urban redevelopment initiatives.
Dr Liu is a patron for the arts and former Master planner of Singapore who has contributed greatly through his practice. We are pleased to have one of the founding members who built Singapore with us.
From Singular to Universal: The New Territories of Design
A part of exhibition "Designers du design" which presents French design from a singular angle.
Four persons, from Singapore and France who are from the field of design, will address the Challenge in Contemporary Design.
