For students having already completed A2 level.

Reinforce your communication skills and understanding of everyday French to be able to interact with ease on familiar topics with native speakers. At this level, you will learn how to handle most situations while traveling in a French-speaking country and express ideas, aspirations, and opinions, all using more nuanced vocabulary.
B1 is the minimum level of proficiency required by French universities for students who wish to undertake tertiary studies in France.

Advanced B1 level can be completed in 6 or 8 terms or in 4 months (fast-track course).

    B1 – Learn to:

      • understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.
      • deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken
      • produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest
      • describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans

At the end of level B1, you can take the DELF B1 exam: an official and international recognition of your level in French.
