About the opera

Alliance Française de Singapour and Vocal Associates Solo Artists and Ensemble of Young Voices are thrilled to stage a mesmerizing lyrical performance: The Little Prince - based on the eponymous book by Antoine de Saint Exupéry, and set to music by Rachel Portman, to an English libretto by Nicholas Wright.

This opera is an exploration of the magical worlds, where The Little Prince encounters various interesting characters, such as The Pilot, The Fox, The Snake, The Lamplighter and The Vain Man - and through these experiences, challenges them and himself to deeper understand the relationships between people - such as loneliness, friendship, love, and loss. It is also a unique opportunity for the younger ones to discover how moving and captivating lyrical art can be.

Join us for a dreamy evening diving into the universe of The Little Prince. The talented and worldly-acclaimed singers of Vocal Associates will guide you through this magical journey, seducing parents and children alike.
