Raised on tales of a Djinn fairy princess, Azur, a young Frenchman goes to North Africa in search of the sprite, only to discover that his close childhood friend, Asmar, an Arab youth whose mother raised both boys also seeks the genie.

Directed by Michel Ocelot (Kirikou and the Sorceress, Tales of the Night), this animated fairy tale showcases a rich tapestry of cultures and storytelling. The film features the voices of Cyril Mourali as Azur, Hiam Abbass as Jénane, and Patrick Timsit as Crapoux. It received a critical acclaim for its unique visual style and storytelling, and was nominated for the 2007 César Award for Best Original Music.
