Dis-moi Dix Mots for the planet: Photo-Haiku Contest
This year, the Francophonie Festival is committed to the planet. Climate change concerns all of us and the 2025 edition encourages us to explore major environmental challenges, such as climate, biodiversity and resource conflicts.
Your MissionHow to participate?
Illustrate 1 word of the Francophonie 2025 with an original photo-haiku.
What is a haiku?
The haiku is a short Japanese poem about nature and the passing of the seasons, generally in 3 lines of 17 syllables. It urges us to be mindful of the world, to ground the poem in reality and provides a form of meditation.
Write a haiku in French or English using 1 of the 10 words of the Francophonie, together with an original photo taken by you.
As part of the contest, the number of syllables is not enforced, but the haikus must include 3 lines and respect the spirit of this short Japanese poem
The participant must be the author of the photo
Each participant can send a maximum of 4 entries
This contest is open to all: adults & children, AF members and non-members.
Prizes up for grabs: magazine subscription, book vouchers and more!
