OUR FRENCH TEACHERS

Zoé JAEGER

Zoé has a Master’s degree in MEEF, which focuses on teaching, education, and training for primary school. She has been a primary school teacher in Paris for 10 years, working with children aged 3 to 10. She enjoys helping children learn and grow, and loves creating fun and engaging activities that make learning enjoyable.







Xavier RIGOULET

Xavier brings 12 years of teaching experience to his role, with the past 4 years dedicated to teaching French at various levels. His diverse background, including a stint as a software engineer, offers an analytical perspective on language learning. Xavier has successfully taught children, students, and adults from varied backgrounds, demonstrating his adaptability to different learning needs. Now at Alliance Française, he looks forward to inspiring a new generation of French language enthusiasts.


Shenaz WOOZEER

Holding a Bachelor's Degree of Early Childhood Studies (Monash University, Melbourne), Shenaz teaches children (bilingual classes), teenagers and adults. During the years she has worked at Alliance Francaise de Singapour, she has gained a tremendous experience working with all kinds of public and levels.








Crystal MOREAU

Originally from Orléans, Crystal holds a Master's degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Language, obtained in Lyon. She has taught French in Thailand at the Alliance Française of Phuket and has been working in Singapore for the past three years. Passionate about languages and art, she enjoys sharing her love for French and learning about other cultures.

 



 

Pierre DUFFIE

Graduated from Essec Business School in 1992, Pierre holds a Masters 2 degree from Grenoble 3 Stendhal University (2015). He has been teaching French for more than ten years including eight at Alliance Française de Singapour. He teaches adults and children in group or private classes. He regularly teaches gastronomy classes sharing his love for good French food and wines.






Janet MARTIN-LAU

Janet has been teaching at Alliance Française de Singapour for the past twenty years and graduated in teaching French as a Foreign Language in France. She also works in Singaporean universities. At Alliance Francaise de Singapour, she teaches adult students, in group and private classes.








Christophe POIRIER

Christophe first graduated in Visual Arts in 1989 (Bachelor’s Degree) and then in French as a Foreign Language in 2003 (Bachelor Honours). He has been teaching at Alliance Française de Singapour since then. He previously taught in France and China and currently conducts phonetics classes, oral and written expression classes as well as general French classes for adults and children.






Nicolas TROUSSET

Nicolas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English, a Degree to teach French as a Foreign Language and a Master’s Degree in Linguistics. After qualifying as a certified teacher, he taught English in various secondary schools in Reims, France. Following that, he also worked as a sales administrator to obtain more professional experience. He now teaches teenagers and adults, in group or private classes, at Alliance Française.





Léopoldine MAGINIAU

Originally from Bourges in central France, Léopoldine previously taught at Alliance Française in Hong Kong and online. She holds a Master's degree in Communication obtained in Paris and worked in food and beverage start-ups before moving to Canada. Today, she has graduated from the Alliance Française de Paris as a French as a Foreign Language teacher. She teaches children, teenagers, and adults in group or private classes and enjoys conducting corporate courses. She is also accredited for the DELF exam.


Benoit DI MENZA

French-born Benoît has been working for Alliance  Française de Singapour for more than ten years. Graduated in French as a Foreign Language, he teaches classes from Beginner to Advanced students, either adults or children. He has taught in MOELC for a few years as well as in an international school. He is also teaching now at Ngee Ann Polytechnic and NTU.







Matthieu LANCEAUME

Holding a Master’s Degree in Linguistics and French as a Foreign Language, Matthieu started by conducting studies in the Linguistic field, regarding emotions in the Foreign Language Classroom. He previously taught French at an engineering school in Paris, and private classes in Japan. He now teaches French to adults and children of all levels, in group or private class, and also preparation class for DELF/DALF




Fantine ADINS

Originally from Hauts-de-France region, Fantine holds a degree in English as well as a master's in French. She has taught French at universities in South Africa and China. Her passion for working with preschoolers flourished at the Lycée Francais de Séoul, where she helped young children explore French through play, songs, and stories. Drawing on her extensive experience from early childhood education to university teaching, Fantine combines professional expertise with a warm, nurturing approach in every classroom.

Sophie LENEVEU

Sophie, a native French speaker with over eight years of teaching experience, has dedicated herself to instructing both French and English to students of all ages and skill levels. She is deeply passionate about crafting engaging and immersive lessons that are customized to meet each student's unique needs. Sophie fully appreciates the importance of nurturing creativity in a child's education. Having lived in Singapore for more than 20 years, she is well-acquainted with the local culture and educational environment. This wealth of experience allows her to create dynamic lessons with interactive activities that spark curiosity, inspire a love of learning, and foster strong academic habits.  

Lorris GIRARDEAU 

Originally from western France, Lorris holds a master's degree in education. He began teaching French as a foreign language (FLE) in the Dominican Republic. He joined our team at the beginning of 2026. Lorris teaches all types of students (children, teenagers, adults) and is also a specialist in DELF-DALF exams.










David LALANNE

Originally from the southwest of France, David has taught with the Alliance Française across three continents. His teaching journey has taken him from Lyon to Singapore, The Hague (Netherlands), Wuhan, and most recently, Winnipeg, Canada. He has also taught civil servants in Vancouver. He holds a Bachelor's degree in English Studies and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education in French. David teaches both children and adults, bringing an international perspective to his classes.






Isabelle ROBINSON

Born Canadian, Isabelle first studied Biology at a very high level and worked as a biologist but also acquired a great experience in teaching either French or English in Vancouver, Montreal, Bordeaux and now Singapore. Isabelle teaches either to children or adults.












Martine MARIE

Holder of a First Class Honours Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Management from Northumbria University, Newcastle and Graduated as a French Foreign Language Teacher from Alliance Française de Paris, Martine has been teaching at  Alliance Française  de Singapour since January 2012, to adults and children. She lived across different continents in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia and developed great cross-cultural capacities.






Emmanuel GOURAUD

Holding  Master 1 Degree  in French as a Foreign Language, Emmanuel has been teaching in Singapore for the past eighteen years. He teaches adults and children, general French classes as well as conversation and grammar classes.












Nastasia DELEVILLE  

Nastasia is a certified French as a Foreign Language teacher and DELF examiner with international experience in Europe and the Americas. She holds a Master's in FLE didactics and specialises in inclusive and intercultural pedagogy. With a background in journalism and communication, she combines creative teaching methods, digital tools and learner-centered approaches to engage diverse audiences in academic, cultural and corporate environments.




 

Elodie MOTTE   

Élodie is a French language educator with extensive experience teaching children, teenagers, and adults in international and multicultural environments. Passionate about creative and inclusive pedagogy, she specializes in designing engaging, thematic curricula that foster both linguistic development and cultural curiosity. Her approach combines structured progression with dynamic, differentiated instruction, always adapting content to suit a range of learner profiles — including non-native speakers and mixed-ability groups. She also develops tailored resources, learner booklets, and visual supports to enhance the learning experience.

CHINESE TEACHER

Shiow Nern TAN (Addie)

Addie has been designing and conducting service language training programmes for the hospitality industry in the past 15 years. Apart from her professional discipline in applied linguistics as well as qualification in translation and interpretation, she has cross-cultural work experience locally and abroad as well as an excellent working knowledge of the service industry. She speaks English, Mandarin and French.
