Madeleine, a brilliant and idealistic young woman from a modest background, is preparing for the ENA (National School of Administration)  oral exam at Antoine's vacation home in Corsica. One morning, on a small deserted road, the couple are involved in an altercation that turns tragic. When they enter the upper echelons of power, the secret that binds them threatens to be revealed. And all the tricks are up for grabs.

Nominated for "Most Promising Actress" at the 2024 César Awards, Rebecca Marder gives a remarkable performance in a sharp, subtle role  in which she weaves the heartfelt and thought-provoking exploration of a politician psyche. The world Desclous has built combines intimacy and expansion to visually highlight the (in)equilibrium between personal desires and external expectations.
