It’s story time! Come to la galerie this month for a special storytelling for children, accompanied by live music performed by Jiawei on traditional Chinese instrument, the Guzheng. Alice Banchi and Roger Jenkins are back with an exclusive bilingual (English/French) storytelling of two Chinese folktales which include puppet, music, dancing and audience participation.
For children from 3 years old.
No knowledge of French is required.

Remix music and poetry at your fingertips! Come to la Médiathèque of Alliance Française de Singapour to experience the work of Tisya Wong and Mok Jiaman, two inspiring interactive media NTU ADM final-year students, in their first artistic foray with French culture. Where Debussy meets Apollinaire, meets Victor Hugo, meets you.

Cinderella, who is undergoing her sisters’ cruelty, is transformed into a princess by her fairy godmother to attend the King’s ball, under the condition that she comes back home before midnight. Seduced by her, the Prince will try to find her, thanks to the glass slipper that she lost at the ball.

Bosko decides to go fishing. Since he is not able to catch anything, he goes to the forest to dance with frogs, which doesn’t please everyone…

Charlot, a prisoner, manages to escape from the guards of the prison. He saves a young woman and her mother from drowning. Pretending to be a millionaire, he is invited to a reception in his honour. But one of the guests recognises him as the escaped prisoner and a chase starts.
Teng Wye Shin is a songwriter, recording and mixing engineer from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music. She freelances as a score director for filming classical music concerts. She has produced several Mandopop covers, is currently under the tutelage of Ocean Butterflies and has released her own original song.
Ruanist and composer Sulwyn Lok aims to connect people through music, fusing influences from traditional Asian music with newer genres to form his musical language. His music has been described as “magical” (Straits Times, 2018), and can be heard on films at the Cannes Film Festival and Busan International Film Festival.
Seah Zi Keane has been learning the keyboard since 13 and is self-taught in playing the guitar. He discovered EDM around the same time and has started to produce his own music. He is currently a student in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, majoring in Film, Sound and Video.
