WORKSHOP WITH PAULINE BROSSET “There are hats for everyone. I am exasperated by people who say wearing a hat doesn’t suit them. There are no bad heads. Only bad hats.”
Pauline Brosset is one of the last hatter artisans. Graduated from the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, she opened a workshop in Paris where she designs classic hats and creates her own models. Discover the raw materials and the different techniques and tools necessary to the confection of handicraft headgears. On the first workshop, she particularly demonstrate the fedora-working, while the second workshop deal with straw-working.

Philippe Atienza is a bootmaker. From the general shape to the sole, including the heel and the working of primary materials, he designs hand- and custom-made shoes in his workshop in Paris. For the first workshop : Philippe give you advices on how to clean, treat and preserve the material they are made of. During the second workshop, he demonstrate the difficult know-how of the sole-stitching thread fabrication, use and work.
