In conjunction with his first solo exhibition titled “The Mountain Survey” at Alliance Française de Singapour, the artist will be sharing on his research and process leading up to the creation of the work. He will also be sharing on the disappearing rubber seeds in the Amazon, the forest gardeners and how to construct a collective identity.
About the artist: Marvin Tang is a Singaporean artist who uses photography in his investigations. His research examines various systems of control and its repercussions. Visualising various social phenomenon that surfaced in the act of control. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts at the School of Art, Design and Media (NTU) and is currently pursuing his Masters in Photography at the University of the Arts London.
