This exhibition presents artworks realized by prize-winners of the Alliance Française worldwide.
As sport is framed by specific rules and customs inside a country’s culture or a community, he also plays a strong social role within the current and traditional societies.
Participants from the entire world shot moments that, according to them, best represents sports activities in their country (all sports will be represented and also trainings’ particularity).
In this way, through the prism of photography, participants show those activities’ essential values: tolerance, opening, social inclusion and team’s cohesion.
This photographic “report” is an opportunity to discover singular practices connected to traditions.
” With great surprise, we were faced with unexpected themes, with propositions which knew how to get around classic trap like beautiful soccer’s pictures: bag race in Bangladesh, bull race in India, feminine wrestling in Nepal, so many traditional sports observed with off the wall looks ” Françoise Huguier, Parisian’s board’s president.

Café de France has permanently ceased its activity. Three new vending machines have been installed on the staircase landings: hot drinks (2nd floor) and cold drinks/snacks (3rd floor). A new café will open in a few months.
Due to renovation works, la médiathèque et la galerie will be closed on Monday 23 & Tuesday 24 April.
