Based on Romola Nijinsky’s “Last Years Of Nijinski”, this biography tells the story of Vaslav Nijinsky, one of the greatest ballet dancers of all time. Set in the early 1910s at a time of passionate artistic experimentalism, the young and brilliant but headstrong Nijinsky is the premier danseur and aspiring choreographer of the Ballets Russes. Sergei Diaghilev, who is famous, influential and possessive, manages the company. As Nijinsky’s dancing career reaches its peak, tension between him and Diaghilev heightens, as the young ballerina Romola de Pulsky determinedly attempts to draw the increasingly mentally unstable Nijinsky away from Diaghilev.
