In French with English subtitles
Director: Eric Barbier
Cast: Pierre Niney, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Didier Bourdon
From his difficult childhood in Poland and adolescence beneath the sun of Nice, to his adventures as a pilot in Africa during the Second World War, Romain Gary has lived an extraordinary life.
The autobiography of the late French novelist and filmmaker offers a closer look at the driving force – his mother Nina. His love for his dear and eccentric mother made him one of the most prolific novelists of the twentieth century. But over time, his boundless maternal love also proved to be a burden he would have to carry throughout his entire life.
