During our French Friday, get a taste of the French language in a fun and relaxed atmosphere: pronounce “Bonjour” and “Ça va” the right way! In just one hour you will learn basic greetings and how to introduce yourself, as well as some other easy key words to start a conversation with native French people.
Open to AF students, members and general public, this informal, laid-back event, enables people to discuss in French, practise their language skills while making new friends from all over the world! Some native French speakers will join to moderate small conversation groups and help people get to know each other.
Synopsis | Armand is a bookish son of Iranian immigrants. Leila is an Arab girl from a Parisian suburb. Both are in love and they intend to spend a year in New York together to work at the United Nations. But Leila’s brother, Mahmoud, comes back from Yemen as Islamic fundamentalist and locks Leila up in their suburb flat. The only way for Armand to keep seeing Leila is to conceal himself behind a full veil and pretend to be Schéhérazade, one of Leila’s friend.
