Synopsis:

Zahira, 18, is a rather determined college student living with her Muslim family in a quiet Belgian suburb. Like most girls her age, she wants to be able to make her own choices in life, including those about which boys she can date. She is very close to her family until her parents ask her to follow Pakistani tradition to choose a husband. Although the suitor seems nice, the whole idea of marriage is far from Zahira’s mind, especially aft er she falls in love with a local mechanic. Torn between family customs and her western lifestyle, she turns to her brother and confidant Amir for help.
