Brooklyn arrives in Paris to take her chance into Hip Hop music with a suitcase, two photographs and a treasured book of original lyrics, having fled her native Switzerland and a difficult relationship with her widowed father. She gets a job in a musical association in Saint- Denis, in Paris suburb. Brooklyn discovers the local Hip Hop scene attending regular poetry slam sessions. One night, she is coerced onto the stage and, initially terrified, she finds courage in the support of the audience…

Groups of 10 or more (friends, family, company, school…) can benefit from the AF member price/ticket by writing an email to Pauline Jorge, Cultural Programming Manager of the Alliance Française (culturalaffairs@alliancefrancaise.org.sg).
